This act establishes that transportation network company drivers have the right to form, join, and participate in the activities of driver organizations, to bargain through representatives of their own choosing, and to engage in concerted activities for the purpose of bargaining or mutual aid. The board is required to enforce these provisions and establish procedures for certification and decertification of driver organizations. Transportation network companies (TNCs) must submit information about TNC drivers to the board every quarter, including personal work information. The board will determine if an entity is a TNC driver organization and designate a bargaining representative through an election process. TNCs and certified driver bargaining organizations must negotiate in good faith, and mediation and arbitration procedures are established for reaching a sectoral agreement. Failing…
