AB 1632: Trespass.
This bill would amend the trespass law in California to make it easier to request police assistance when dealing with trespassers. The current law requires a separate request to be made each time the police are asked for help, but the bill would allow a single request to be made for a period not to exceed 12 months. This change would be made to help prevent fires, protect property, or when the owner is absent or the property is closed to the public. The bill would also simplify the process by removing the requirement for a notarized form to be submitted electronically.
