<p>The bill authorizes the secretary of state to enter into an agreement with the federal Social Security Administration by January 1, 2028, to facilitate access to death statistics. If such an agreement is established, the secretary must adopt regulations for the electronic transfer of these statistics from the Social Security Administration. The data obtained will be used to cancel voter registrations of deceased individuals. This bill also imposes state-mandated local program costs on local elections officials.</p>
