The proposed law requires the state prosecutor to conduct independent investigations into incidents where a federal immigration enforcement officer is involved in a shooting or use of force that results in death or serious bodily injury. The state prosecutor can then criminally prosecute federal immigration enforcement officers found to have violated state law. Written reports of these investigations and prosecutions must be publicly posted on a website. The law allows the attorney general to serve as the state prosecutor unless otherwise specified.
