AB 1901: Children’s diapers: intentionally added ingredients: disclosure.
This bill requires manufacturers of children's diapers sold, distributed, or manufactured in the state to disclose certain ingredients on their websites and packaging. On January 1, 2028, manufacturers must list all intentionally added ingredients, including their names and functions, on a website. By January 1, 2029, packaging must also include a link to this website. Violators may face penalties of up to $5,000 for the first offense and up to $10,000 for subsequent offenses. The department is authorized to enforce these requirements and adopt regulations to implement them.
