<p>The bill adds new requirements for pharmacies compounding medications used for obesity or weight management in California. It mandates that compounders must use pharmaceutical-grade bulk drug substances accompanied by certificates of analysis and ensures manufacturers and wholesalers verify these conditions before distribution. Violations are punishable by fines up to $1,000 per dose and license revocation.</p> <p>The bill also requires compounders to maintain records for at least two years after the last lot's expiration date and allows board inspections. Additionally, it prohibits misleading advertisements for such compounded medications unless truthful and substantiated.</p>
