The bill aims to improve coastal resilience in California by developing a permitting roadmap for coastal projects. A coastal resilience permitting working group, consisting of representatives from federal, state, and local agencies, will be formed to achieve this goal. The group will consist of representatives from the California Coastal Commission, the California Environmental Protection Agency, and the Department of Fish and Wildlife, among others. The working group will submit its roadmap to the Governor and relevant legislative committees by January 1, 2028. Additionally, a coastal resilience permit advisory group will be convened by April 1, 2027, to support the working group's deliberations.
