AB 2101: Human trafficking: notice and training: disaster sites.
<p>This bill aims to combat human trafficking by requiring specific notices and training for certain businesses and establishments.</p> <p>Designated disaster sites and mitigation sites must post a notice containing information about slavery and human trafficking, including contact information for nonprofit organizations that provide services or support.</p> <p>Entities operating in these sites must provide 20 minutes of training to employees involved in disaster recovery or mitigation tasks, starting June 1, 2027.</p> <p>The training must be developed or administered by a nonprofit or private entity with experience in human trafficking and be delivered in the most widely spoken language among employees.</p> <p>The training will cover the definition of human trafficking, signs of trafficking, and how to report it to law enforcement, with additional examples and case scenarios specific t…
