AB 2164: Legally protected activities.

<p>This bill aims to provide protection for individuals who engage in certain activities related to reproductive and gender-affirming health care services. It would apply the protections of the reproductive privacy act to individuals who have previously engaged in such activities in other jurisdictions.</p> <p>The bill would also clarify the governor's authority to extradite individuals charged with crimes related to these activities. It would require the governor to extradite only if the acts for which extradition is sought would be punishable by the laws of the state if the consequences claimed in the demanding state had taken effect.</p> <p>Additionally, the bill would prohibit the governor from recognizing a request for extradition based on alleged provision or receipt of material support for these activities, except in specific circumstances.</p>
