This bill would amend the state's trust grant to the city of Martinez, which holds land in trust for the benefit of all California residents. The city currently has the authority to lease the land for limited periods of up to 49 years, but this bill would extend that period to up to 66 years. Additionally, if the state lands commission approves, the city could lease the land for a longer term than 66 years if it is deemed in the best interest of the state.
