<p>This bill amends the law requiring local agencies to provide emergency information in multiple languages. The law now requires local agencies to provide information in English and in each language spoken by at least 5% of the population that speaks English less than "very well". To determine which languages meet the criteria, local agencies will calculate the total population that speaks English less than "very well" and check if speakers of any language who speak English less than "very well" comprise at least 5% of that population.</p>
