Beginning with the 2028 report, the information includes the number of temporary emergency shelter beds and permanent housing units for people experiencing or exiting homelessness in the jurisdiction. This will help track progress in addressing homelessness. The bill also specifies that the state will reimburse local agencies for costs mandated by the state if the Commission on State Mandates determines that the bill contains such costs.
