AB 2441: Community Supporting Innovation Pilot Program.
The bill would create a community supporting innovation pilot program to assess and demonstrate the effectiveness of community-based organizations serving families with complex needs or multiple stressors. The program would require organizations to demonstrate a commitment from at least one partnering school district, hospital, or law enforcement agency to refer potentially eligible families. The program would provide grants to 25 organizations to operate community pathway teams, offering assistance with basic needs, childcare access, behavioral health coordination, financial stability, and other supports. The program would require an evaluation and a report to the legislature by July 1, 2030, with recommendations for statewide implementation.
