What AB 2445 does, verified February 24, 2026
The state capitol building annex project is authorized to be pursued in phases. The visitor center must be located in the constructed annex or within the restored annex, and its entrance cannot be on the west side of the west wing. Significant changes to the west plaza and west steps of the west wing are restricted. Any nondisclosure agreements relating to the project are void and unenforceable. Starting from January 1, 2027, nondisclosure agreements entered into for public infrastructure projects are also void and unenforceable.
