AB 2585: California Guaranteed Income Pilot Program.
The California Guaranteed Income Pilot Program aims to provide a guaranteed income to certain residents. The program prioritizes funding for pilot projects serving California residents who are aging out of foster care at 21 or older, pregnant individuals, parents of children under 5 years old, and victims of domestic violence. The program also seeks to distribute grant funds in an equitable manner to eligible entities in rural and urban counties. The bill modifies the existing program to prioritize pilot projects in regions where eligible entities have not yet received funding.
