California · Assembly · 2025–2026 Regular Session · last verified May 16, 2026

What AB 2607 does, verified May 16, 2026

The bill aims to increase the cap for qualified loans under the program to $250,000, allowing more small businesses to access capital. The funds from the seismic safety program will be transferred to the Americans with Disabilities Act program, expanding the purposes for which moneys can be used. This transfer will also enable the program to provide financial assistance to eligible projects. The bill also increases the administrative expenditure limit to 5% of the initial appropriation, plus 5% of all interest earned and moneys recaptured, and extends the loan terms and recapture limits to 15 years.
