<p>The bill amends section 25371 of the public resources code by requiring the state energy resources conservation and development commission to include additional assessments in its periodic reports starting January 1, 2024. The new requirements mandate an evaluation of the human rights records of countries from which California imports oil, an analysis of how much domestic oil production would be needed for California to cease importing oil from these countries, and a review of state laws and regulations that restrict domestic oil production.</p>
