California · Assembly · 2025–2026 Regular Session · last verified August 22, 2026

What AB 264 does, verified August 22, 2026

This bill would repeal a prohibition that prevents dependents of veterans from receiving educational benefits if they also receive specified federal educational benefits or duplicate assistance from other government sources. The prohibition applies to dependents of veterans who were killed during military service or are totally disabled. The repeal would allow these dependents to receive the educational benefits without restrictions.
