This bill aims to improve services for veterans in California. It requires county veterans service officers to be filled within 12 months and to obtain accreditation from the US Department of Veterans Affairs within 9 months. The California Department of Veterans Affairs must establish minimum training requirements for accreditation to improve public awareness and data collection.
