AB 265: Small Business Recovery Fund Act.

The bill aims to support small businesses affected by state emergencies through a recovery grant program. The program will provide competitive grants to small businesses that have been directly impacted by a state of emergency, with grant amounts ranging from $2,500 to $100,000. The grants will be awarded by the Office of Small Business Advocate, which will also use 5% of the funds to support technical assistance programs and 5% to support increased demand for capital-related assistance in disaster areas. The program will require grant recipients to match the amount of the grant awarded. A report will be prepared and submitted to the legislature on the results of the grant funds awarded for each state of emergency. The program will be repealed on January 1, 2032.
