The bill requires a person using a bot to disclose its artificial nature when communicating with others and to answer truthfully about its identity. A person using a bot that requires more specific disclosure is exempt from the bill's provisions. The Attorney General, district attorneys, county counsel, city attorneys, or city prosecutors can bring civil actions to punish noncompliance.
