This bill prohibits the manufacture, distribution, or sale of a product containing tianeptine in the state. A violation of these provisions is punishable by a civil penalty of up to $2,500 for the first offense and up to $5,000 for each subsequent offense. The state can bring an action against violators, and a prevailing plaintiff is entitled to an award of reasonable attorney's fees and costs.
