AB 645: Emergency medical services: dispatcher training.

The bill requires public safety agencies that provide 911 call processing services to provide prearrival medical instructions to callers requiring medical assistance by January 1, 2027. These instructions must include airway and choking medical instructions for infants, children, and adults and administration of naloxone for narcotics overdoses. The instructions must be approved by the local EMS agency medical director and implemented consistent with the agency's medical protocols and procedures. The bill also establishes that reimbursement for certain mandated costs is not required for a specified reason, and for other costs, reimbursement will be made pursuant to the state's reimbursement procedures.
