AB 688: Telehealth for All Act of 2025.

California · Assembly · 2025–2026 Regular Session · last verified December 7, 2025

What AB 688 does, verified December 7, 2025

The bill requires the state department of health care services to produce a publicly available report on Medi-Cal telehealth utilization starting in 2028 and every two years thereafter. The report will analyze Medi-Cal data and other available data sources to address telehealth access and utilization data, including metrics on visits and claims. The report will provide insights into disparities in telehealth access and utilization, disaggregated by geographic, demographic, and social determinants of health categories. The department will identify additional data elements to address access-to-care issues and provide greater insight into telehealth modality utilization.
