AB 900: Environmental protection: 30x30 goals: land conservation: stewardship.

California aims to conserve at least 30% of the state's lands and coastal waters by 2030. The state is working to combat biodiversity and climate crises by establishing the California Biodiversity Collaborative. To further this goal, the state must develop strategies to reduce barriers and increase support for stewardship of conserved lands. Stewardship strategies must be developed in collaboration with stakeholders, California Native American tribes, and relevant state agencies. The strategies must include recommendations to increase and improve stewardship of 30x30 lands, including innovative ways to reduce barriers and increase federal, state, and local support. The annual report on progress made toward achieving the 30x30 goal will include a section on stewardship, which will be posted on the agency's internet website.
