AB 925: Mobilehome parks: emergency preparedness.

The bill aims to improve emergency preparedness in mobilehome parks. Starting January 1, 2027, parks with 50 or more units must have a person available who knows the emergency preparedness plan and has access to utility systems, fire hydrants, and exits. The park must also adopt an emergency preparedness plan that includes prescribed elements, which must be approved by the standardized emergency management system advisory board. Park owners must provide notice on how to access the plan to residents annually. Enforcement agencies will check for compliance and refuse to issue or renew permits if violations are not corrected within 60 days. If violations are not corrected, park management must make a written statement under penalty of perjury before issuing or renewing the permit. The department will publicly post the provisions on its website on or before June 30, 2026.
