AB 98: State property: City of Moreno Valley.
The bill requires the state to quitclaim 11 parcels of land in the city of Moreno Valley to the city at no cost. These parcels consist mainly of undeveloped open-space land. The city of Moreno Valley is required to use the land for wildfire mitigation, increasing open-space opportunities, and other similar uses deemed necessary. The land is exempt from certain provisions of law governing surplus real property. The bill makes legislative findings and declarations regarding the necessity of a special statute for the city of Moreno Valley and a gift of public funds.
