SB 1111: Digital replicas.

This bill aims to expand the definition of impersonation to include digital replicas. A digital replica is a highly realistic electronic representation that can be easily identified as the voice or likeness of an individual, even if they did not perform or appear in it. This expansion would apply to both civil and criminal cases. The bill also removes the rebuttable presumption that existed for cases where an employee's likeness or photograph was used in an advertisement. Furthermore, it clarifies that false impersonation includes using a digital replica with the intent to impersonate someone for purposes of other crimes.
