SB 1311: Licensed professions.
This bill amends several laws related to licensed professions in California. The Dental Practice Act would allow unlicensed dental assistants to complete the Dental Assisting National Board's infection control examination instead of an infection control course. The Licensed Physicians from Mexico Program would change application deadlines, allowing more applicants to submit between October 1, 2025, and July 1, 2026. The Veterinary Medicine Practice Act would modify the educational requirements for registered veterinary technicians to include education from a California public school. The Private Investigator Act would exempt master agreements for frequently contracted services from including start and completion dates. The bill would take effect immediately as an urgency statute.
