This bill aims to extend the prohibition on manufacturing, selling, and using vaginal suppositories containing boric acid to January 1, 2035. The bill requires vaginal suppository products containing boric acid to include a product label warning consumers not to use them during pregnancy and other specified conditions. The bill also exempts vaginal suppository products from these prohibitions if the product becomes regulated by the US Food and Drug Administration. The bill takes effect immediately as an urgency statute.
