This bill requires the governing body of each city, county, or city and county to submit an updated list of local elected or appointed officials to the state secretary, no more than 120 days after each general election. The list will be published in the state's roster of public officials. The bill also addresses reimbursement for costs mandated by the state, requiring the state to reimburse local agencies and school districts for certain costs if the Commission on State Mandates determines the bill contains those costs.
