SB 680: Sex offender registration: unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.
What SB 680 does, verified December 7, 2025
This bill would amend the penal code to require individuals convicted of certain sex offenses to register as sex offenders for a minimum of 10 years. It would expand the scope of a crime to include individuals who engage in unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor who is more than 3 years younger or under 16 years old, if the offender was 21 or older. The bill would exempt offenders who are not more than 10 years older than the minor and have only one prior offense from registering for 10 years. No reimbursement is required for this act.
