SB 683: Privacy: use of a person’s name, voice, signature, photograph, or likeness: injunctive relief.

This bill would amend the civil code to provide injunctive relief for individuals whose names, voices, signatures, photographs, or likenesses are used without consent. A party seeking relief can also seek a temporary restraining order, which requires the respondent to comply within two business days. The court grants the order without notice to the opposing party if it requires the respondent to remove or recall the use of the individual's name, voice, signature, photograph, or likeness.
