SB 812: Qualified youth drop-in center health care coverage.

This bill expands health care coverage for young individuals by requiring health care service plans and insurance policies to provide medically necessary treatment for mental health and substance use disorders when delivered at a qualified youth drop-in center. The definition of "schoolsite" is also expanded to include qualified youth drop-in centers. This means that health care service plans and insurance policies must reimburse providers for services provided at these centers, even if the individual receiving the services is 25 years old or younger. The bill creates a state-mandated local program to enforce this requirement and prohibits reimbursement for certain costs.
