SB 919: Biomethane monetary incentive program.

This bill aims to promote the development of biomethane projects in California by extending a monetary incentive program until December 31, 2030. The Public Utilities Commission is authorized to extend the program and allow gas corporations to recover investment costs in rates. The commission can also use revenue from the direct allocation of greenhouse gas allowances to fund the program. Additionally, the bill allows gas corporations to recover interconnection costs for biomethane projects. The bill does not require reimbursement for certain costs.
