Assembly BillIntroduced

A 2329: Expands use of videoconferencing to purely advisory bodies.

New York · Assembly · 2025–2026 Legislative Session · last verified January 8, 2026

What A 2329 does, verified January 8, 2026

The proposed law aims to allow public bodies to hold meetings remotely through videoconferencing for advisory committees and subcommittees. Members of these committees and subcommittees can attend meetings from non-public locations, and their presence will be considered for quorum requirements. However, the public must still have an opportunity to attend, listen, and observe the meetings in a physical location that meets accessibility requirements. The law will take effect immediately, but the changes will be repealed when the repealed section is re-enacted.
