What A 9159 does, verified January 8, 2026

The proposed law aims to amend the Labor Law to make the following changes: The law will ensure that employees who work remotely, or telecommute, are eligible for paid sick leave under the same conditions as employees who physically commute to the workplace. This means that telecommuting employees will accrue sick leave at the same rate and under the same conditions as their comparable colleagues who work on-site. The law will take effect one year after it becomes a law and will apply to the accrual of paid sick leave on and after that date.
