A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring the Lake Anna Young Men’s Christian Association on its One Hundredth Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to applaud the Lake Anna Young 2
Men’s Christian Association on the auspicious occasion of its One 3
Hundredth Anniversary; and 4
WHEREAS, Celebration of this prestigious milestone is, indeed, a 5
fitting tribute to the Lake Anna YMCA, for throughout the last 6
century, it has achieved a remarkable record of service to the area. 7
The organization’s accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride 8
and an excellent reflection not only on the association itself but 9
also on its members and volunteers and on the community; and 10
WHEREAS, Since its founding on February 13, 1924, the Lake Anna 11
YMCA has enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area, and 12
its generous contributions have earned it the gratitude and respect of 13
the many citizens it has so capably served. We are certain that as 14
this fine agency maintains its unfaltering dedication to service, it 15
will continue in the tradition of excellence that has become its 16
hallmark; and 17
WHEREAS, All those associated with the Lake Anna YMCA are to be 18
commended for their foresight, commitment, and selfless donations of 19
time, energy, and ability far beyond what was required or expected. 20
These fine people have set an example of concerned and responsible 21
citizenship that is worthy of emulation; therefore be it 22
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 23
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 24
congratulate the Lake Anna Young Men’s Christian Association on its 25

Centennial and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further 26
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 27
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Lake Anna Young 28
Men’s Christian Association. 29
