A RESOLUTION

Honoring The Budget on its One Hundred Thirty-fifth Anniversary.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1 of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to The Budget on the 2 memorable occasion of its One Hundred Thirty-fifth Anniversary; and 3

WHEREAS, The Budget is, indeed, deserving of high praise, for 4 throughout thirteen and a half decades of operation, this fine 5 newspaper has attained a noteworthy record of service not only to the 6 Sugarcreek area but also to the Amish and Mennonite communities 7 throughout the nation that are served by the publication. Indeed, the 8 paper has gained the gratitude and appreciation of many satisfied 9 readers, and its success is a justifiable source of pride and an 10 outstanding reflection not only on the business itself but also on its 11 owners, on its employees, and on the many volunteer scribes who 12 contribute to its success; and 13

WHEREAS, Since its establishment, The Budget has experienced 14 tremendous prosperity, and it has continually demonstrated its 15 exemplary commitment to the highest standards of journalism, impartial 16 reporting, and competitive pricing. Indeed, its dedication to the best 17 interests of its audience has been evident in all its efforts; and 18

WHEREAS, The success of The Budget can be attributed to the vision 19 and foresight of a host of innovative individuals, and all those who 20 have been involved with its operations are to be applauded on their 21 tremendous efforts. Indeed, this venture convincingly demonstrates how 22 very much can be accomplished by a group of conscientious people with 23 clear objectives and firm resolve, and it is through the work of 24 citizens such as these that Ohio continues to be a pleasant place in 25 which to live; therefore be it 26
