SR 246: Honoring the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine on its Fiftieth Anniversary.
The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine is being honored on its 50th anniversary. The institution has played a valuable role in preparing medical students to meet future challenges. Since its establishment in 1975, the college has expanded to include additional campuses, increased its community health programs, and graduated over 5,000 physicians, 60% of whom remain in the state to practice. The college has become Ohio's largest producer of primary care physicians and has gained recognition for its commitment to cultivating skilled and empathetic osteopathic physicians. The institution is being commended for its efforts in advancing health, research, and compassionate care, and for its continued commitment to providing high-quality education.
