A RESOLUTION

Honoring Kayla Moroschan as a 2026 OHSAA State 1
Wrestling Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 3 of Ohio are pleased to recognize Kayla Moroschan on earning the 2026 4 Ohio High School Athletic Association State Championship in girls 5 wrestling in the 125-pound weight class; and

WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional form, ability, leadership, and 7 dedication during the 2025-2026 season, Kayla Moroschan has certainly 8 distinguished herself as one of the most talented wrestlers in the 9 state. A junior member of the Chippewa High School girls wrestling 10 team, she demonstrated her drive and skill by winning her second state 11 title in three years, and her impressive 51-1 season record is 12 praiseworthy; and

WHEREAS, Throughout intense training and preparation, Kayla 14 Moroschan has consistently exhibited the talent, integrity, and 15 motivation that are the hallmarks of a true champion. Indeed, she has 16 inspired her teammates, thrilled her fans, gained the respect of her 17 opponents, and made her family, her coaches, and her Chipps community 18 very proud; and

WHEREAS, Participation in wrestling has enabled Kayla Moroschan to 20 learn much about dedication, self-discipline, and leadership. 21 Commendably, she has revealed the skill, strength, and stamina that 22 befit a standout athlete, and it is no surprise that she has won so 23 many admirers. The remarkable skill and experience she has shown as a 24 wrestler will be of great benefit as she forges a bright, promising 25 future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 27 Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Kayla 28 Moroschan as the 2026 Girls Wrestling State Champion in the 125-pound 29 weight class and salute her as a fine Ohio athlete; and be it further 30

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 31 authenticated copy of this Resolution to Kayla Moroschan. 32
