BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 3
of Ohio are pleased to have learned that Cleveland State University 4
has requested permission to use the Ohio Senate Chamber for its 5
Columbus Seminar, March 13, 2025; and 6
WHEREAS, Cleveland State University's Columbus Seminar will 7
provide students with the opportunity to better appreciate and 8
understand government and its components by simulating a Senatorial 9
session. Indeed, the knowledge gained through events such as this will 10
be of great value to participants in the years to come; and 11
WHEREAS, By utilizing the facilities that accommodate those 12
involved in the state legislative process, Cleveland State 13
University's Columbus Seminar will offer students an accurate 14
depiction of government and the manner in which legislation is created 15
and processed. This is a prime example of how various state bodies 16
collaborate to help tomorrow's leaders shape a more promising future 17
for themselves and their communities; and 18
WHEREAS, Through participation in Cleveland State University's 19
Columbus Seminar, students will be better prepared to become 20
productive members of our complex and ever-changing society. The 21

maturity and insight participants will gain through their involvement 22
in this program will not only enrich their total educational 23
experience but also enable them to make better-informed decisions as 24
they assume the responsibilities of adult citizenship; therefore be it 25
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, permit Cleveland State 27
University to use the Ohio Senate Chamber for its Columbus Seminar, 28
contingent upon the availability of the facility, and salute the 29
participants as some of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it 30

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 32
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Cleveland State University. 33
