Honoring Taylor Bacher on securing a 2025 Division II State Swimming Championship title.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to commend Taylor Bacher as the 2025 Division II 2
State Swimming Champion in the girls 200-yard freestyle; and 3
WHEREAS, Taylor Bacher’s outstanding ability and spirited drive, 4
as well as her quickness and tenacity, have distinguished her as a 5
superior athlete and an exemplary member of the Cincinnati Hills 6
Christian Academy girls swim team. At this year’s Division II State 7
Swim Meet, she placed first in the 200-yard freestyle event with a 8
time of 1:49.49, placed second in the 100-yard butterfly event, and 9
helped the 400-yard freestyle relay team finish first and the 200-yard 10
medley relay team finish second, and she has gained the respect and 11
admiration of all those who have witnessed her in action; and 12
WHEREAS, Few sports embody the spirit of individual accomplishment 13
more than swimming. Athletes such as Taylor Bacher exemplify the 14
qualities necessary for excellence in any sport, including discipline, 15
agility, conditioning, and focus. Indeed, throughout long hours of 16
practice and competition, she has consistently demonstrated the talent 17
and motivation that are the hallmarks of a true competitor; and 18
WHEREAS, Through her participation in sports, Taylor Bacher has 19
learned lessons of perseverance, hard work, and fair and honest 20
competition that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to her 21
throughout her lifetime. Time and again, she has risen to the 22
occasion, maintaining her morale, composure, and good sportsmanship, 23
and she has set a fine example that is sure to inspire future 24
generations of Eagles; therefore be it 25

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Taylor 27
Bacher on her outstanding performance in state competition and offer 28
best wishes for continued success; and be it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Taylor Bacher. 31
