A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Urbana High School girls bowling team on winning the 2025 Division II State Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to recognize the Urbana High School girls bowling 2
team as the 2025 Division II State Champion; and 3
WHEREAS, The members of the Urbana High School girls bowling team 4
are exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves to be truly 5
exceptional competitors. To cap a fantastic season, the Hillclimbers 6
bested the Fairport Harding team at the 2025 Division II State 7
Championship, and team members Audrie Williams, Natalie Turner, Jazmyn 8
Scott, Riley Smith, Emily Fisher, and Mallory Stokes have earned the 9
esteem of many for their unwavering commitment; and 10
WHEREAS, Coach Kurt Scott has demonstrated remarkable energy, 11
enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Urbana High School girls 12
bowling team to victory, and his skill is reflected in the squad’s 13
outstanding accomplishments. Due largely to his tireless efforts, the 14
members have distinguished themselves on the lanes, and he has 15
received respect and admiration from all who know him; and 16
WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future 17
leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and 18
the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has 19
become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of the 20
Urbana High School girls bowling team have gained discipline and 21
perseverance that will help them in all aspects of their lives; 22
therefore be it 23
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 24
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the 25
