A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Collin Sullivan as a 2025 Division III State Wrestling Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Collin Sullivan on winning the 2
2025 Division III State Wrestling Championship in the 285-pound weight 3
class; and 4
WHEREAS, A senior at Fairless High School, Collin Sullivan has 5
combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good 6
sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional young 7
athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently toward 8
attaining ultimate proficiency in wrestling, and as a result, he 9
defeated a tough opponent from Indian Lake High School by the score of 10
7-3 to win this year’s Division III State Championship in the 285- 11
pound weight class, the first state title in that sport in school 12
history, and compiled an impressive 47-4 record; and 13
WHEREAS, Collin Sullivan’s accomplishments and leadership, both in 14
and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine 15
reflection not only on him but also on his family, his teammates, his 16
coaches, his school, and his community. His unwavering commitment to 17
excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of many, and he is 18
certainly worthy of high praise; and 19
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role 20
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased 21
to pay tribute to Collin Sullivan on an exemplary season. Indeed, the 22
same maturity and experience he has gained through his participation 23
in wrestling will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the 24
future; therefore be it 25

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Collin Sullivan 27
as a 2025 Division III State Wrestling Champion and extend best wishes 28
for continued success; and be it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Collin Sullivan. 31
