Honoring the Bellevue High School girls basketball team on winning the 2025 Division IV State Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to commend the Bellevue High School girls 2
basketball team as the 2025 Division IV State Champion; and 3
WHEREAS, The Bellevue High School girls basketball team has proven 4
to be a talented and superbly conditioned squad and has gained the 5
respect of fans and opponents alike for the spirited and highly 6
motivated performance of its members. Throughout the season, the 7
athletes worked diligently to improve their skills on the court, and 8
as a result, the Lady Reds accomplished their goals, bringing home 9
this year’s state championship, the first such title in program 10
history; and 11
WHEREAS, Known as a driven and determined team, the Bellevue Lady 12
Reds have developed into a remarkably efficient group of players whose 13
skill is equaled only by their exemplary display of teamwork. They are 14
a credit not only to their families and their school but also to the 15
superb leadership of their coach, Kory Santoro; and 16
WHEREAS, The road to victory is a difficult one, requiring 17
ability, endurance, and a positive attitude on the part of players and 18
coaches alike. The members of the Bellevue High School girls 19
basketball team have exemplified all of the characteristics that are 20
essential for success both in and out of competition, including 21
courage, discipline, integrity, and good sportsmanship, and their 22
efforts have earned them the admiration of all those who have 23
witnessed these outstanding athletes in action; therefore be it 24

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 25
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute the Bellevue 26
High School girls basketball team on its 2025 Division IV State 27
Championship and extend best wishes for the years to come; and be it 28

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Bellevue High School 31
