AB 1122: Pupil instruction: dual enrollment.
This bill requires local educational agencies to establish a dual enrollment program with a community college district by the 2029-30 academic year. The program must be established through a formal partnership or agreement with the community college district. Local agencies without an existing dual enrollment program must partner with a college and career access pathways partnership or an early or middle college high school. The program must offer courses that lead to a degree, credential, or transfer. If the commission on state mandates determines that the bill contains costs mandated by the state, reimbursement for those costs will be made by the state.
