AB 1229: Adult Reentry Grant Program.
The bill transfers the administration of a grant program to the Department of Housing and Community Development. The program aims to support offenders formerly incarcerated in state prison by providing permanent supportive housing and reentry services. The program will be funded by a specified appropriation and will require regional administrators to work with various state agencies, including the Department of Health Care Services, Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and homeless continuums of care.
