AB 124: Public resources trailer bill.
The bill authorizes the Natural Resources Agency to enter into a noncompetitive grant with a nonprofit organization to plan, construct, and maintain a memorial to the victims and survivors of the Holocaust at Exposition Park. The department of General Services will review preliminary design plans to identify potential maintenance concerns, and the nonprofit organization will prepare an agreement for the long-term maintenance and security of the memorial. The bill also makes additional funds available for the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission for enforcement activities and technology to support those activities. Additionally, the bill updates the underground storage tank regulation to require permanent closure of tanks by December 31, 2025, and authorizes loan and grant funds to be used to reimburse up to 100% of costs to remove or replace tanks if certain conditi…
