AB 1305: Air pollution control and air quality management districts: permit information: internet website.
The bill requires air pollution control districts and air quality management districts to make publicly available on their internet websites a map of permitted facilities, containing specified information regarding those permits, for all active permits required for equipment or processes that may release or control air pollutants. This requirement is intended to provide transparency and accountability in the management of air pollution permits. The bill adds to the duties of air districts, imposing a state-mandated local program. The bill does not require the state to reimburse local agencies and school districts for the costs associated with implementing this requirement.
